Finding Trobbio’s Stage and Preparing

The first time I reached Trobbio’s stage, I entered from the Whispering Vaults at the bottom right of the Citadel. That route is dramatic, but it makes the runback unnecessarily long. Before starting the fight, I explored to the left and unblocked the return passage to the Choral Chambers. From there, I jumped down to the Bench area in the Grand Bellway and rested. This gives you a much shorter return route and also lets you use the Bellway if you need to grab anything else before Act 2.

For equipment, I tested a few crests and ended up preferring the Reaper crest. A slow and steady approach works well against Trobbio, because many of his attacks are designed to punish aggressive players.
